Too bad less than two thirds of the country actually cares enough to vote. But i always say, if you don’t vote, you have no right to complain about anything political. If you don’t take part in the political system (ie casting your ballot, a right that people died for and a right that others are killed for every day in other countries), then don’t bitch about the system.

Take the word “apathetic,” drop the “a” and you have a good adjective to describe the 41% of Canadians who couldn’t spare a few moments of their valuable time to vote in this election. Voting, like paying taxes and serving on a jury, is a civic duty, not a right, and it’s troubling that so many citizens in this country saw fit to shirk that duty.
