100 too many

With the recent deaths of three Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan, our nation’s total of fallen soldiers there has reached 100.

The first death is no more nor less important than those which occured to have us reach the century mark. In the end, they are all 100 too many.

Our troops are engaged in a war a world away. They are fighting among desolation, anger and despair daily. Their families and friends live an die with them daily while awaiting their safe return.

Don’t forget they are there. Don’t remember them only when they have fallen.

We Salute you. We Support You. We Stand With You.

Thank you so much, Vince, for your poignant words and for posting that powerful video tribute to our soldiers. How we all long for the day when they can return home and an end will finally come to the cavalcades of vehicles far too often seen along the Highway of Heroes.
